OPEN LETTER June 8, 2010 William F. Dow III Attorney at Law 350 Orange Street New Haven, Connecticut 06511 This message is being delivered to the Mont Joli Hotel in Cap Haitien, Haiti where Mr. Dow is staying this week. Dear Mr. Dow, I hope you are treating the Cap Haitien community with honor and respect. You are walking on holy ground, Mr. Dow. After all, it is the community's children who were raped and sodomized by your client, Douglas Perlitz. The Cap Haitien community knows full well that you are not there to assist and comfort the boys who were sexually abused by Perlitz at Project Pierre Toussaint. The community knows full well that you are not there seeking justice for the terrible harms and injuries that were inflicted upon the boys as a result of their abuse by Perlitz. The community knows full well that your only goal is to ever so subtly intimidate witnesses and disparage those who are supporting and believing the 24 children who have reported to Haitian and U.S authorities that they were sexually abused by Perlitz. The Cap Haitien community knows full well that you do not care about the truth and in so doing, you are making it very clear to the community that you do not care about them either. Sincerely, Paul Kendrick Freeport, Maine |
