Michel Martelly Communique de Presse BMM #16:13 Décembre 2010.

Le Bureau de Presse du Candidat à la Présidence de Repons Peyizan, Michel Joseph Martelly tient, au nom dudit candidat à remercier la nation haïtienne toute entière du support témoigné après l'injustice du 7 décembre dernier. Voila qu'aujourd'hui les victimes sont présentées comme des bourreaux… quelle démocratie bien particulière ! La loi est partisane, on la brandit quand ca convient pour empêcher un droit constitutionnel d'être exprimé, et on la piétine quand il faut éliminer des candidats soi-disant gênants. 

Nous saluons la mémoire de tous ceux qui sont tombés durant ces derniers jours à travers le pays et qui ont été atteints d'une façon ou d'une autre par cette crise, causée et provoquée par le CEP et le pouvoir en place. Nous compatissons avec ceux qui sont hospitalisés, ainsi que les personnes atteintes du choléra. 

Nous appuyons votre refus d'accepter l'arbitraire, l'illégalité, l'injustice, c'est votre droit de réclamer que votre vote soit respecté, c'est ca la vraie démocratie (voix du peuple) , mais nous tenons a vous rappeler que les manifestations doivent se faire dans le calme, sans violence et en respectant les  vies et les biens de tous. Éviter de donner des prétextes à ceux qui ne veulent que votre destruction,

On behalf of presidential candidate Michel J. Martelly, Repons Peyizan, the press team wants to thank all of the Haitian citizens for their evident support following the unfair results of last December 7th. Today the victims are identified as the executioners… So much for a democracy!

To prevent the expression or respect of a constitutional right the law is brandished, but whenever they want to eliminate a legitimately elected candidate, such law is violated. What an incredibly flexible law!

We mourn all those who have lost their lives and present sympathies to their families. We are not forgetting those whose lives have changed, and those who have lost their goods and assets due to this crisis provoked by the CEP and the government in power. We empathize with those hospitalized and with the population affected by the cholera virus.

We would like to remind you that throughout his campaign, candidate Michel J. Martelly has always emphasized the respect of the law, of one another, of lives and assets of every individual. We have the right to manifest, but it must be done with calm, non-violence and the respect of others. Do not allow provocations to be pretexts for those who want your misfortune and destruction.
