USAID OFFICIALS CIRCLE THE WAGONS.

USAID officer, Jessica Reitz, is a long time friend of U.S. citizen, Michael Geilenfeld, Director of the St. Joseph's Homes near Port au Prince, Haiti.

Geilenfeld is a former Brother of Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity.

In addition to her role at USAID, Reitz is a former member of the Board of Directors of the St. Joseph's Homes.

Geilenfeld has been accused of multiple allegations of sexually abusing Haitian children in his care.

In an affidavit filed in U.S. Federal Court, Geilenfeld swears that he has never engaged in any form of unlawful sexual relations with any other person.

When asked about her letter of praise and support for Geilenfeld and his staff, which was published on the St. Joseph Homes' web site, Reitz immediately removed her comments.

When asked why she removed her comments, Reitz and other USAID officials circled the wagons, disparaged the child protection advocate and did nothing to investigate the allegations of child sexual abuse against Geilenfeld.
