Pelosi Leads Congressional Delegation to Haiti
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi is leading a Congressional delegation to Haiti after concluding meetings in Cuba and the Dominican Republic . The delegation arrived this morning and will meet with President Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Evans Paul, and other high ranking governmental officials.
"Five years after a devastating earthquake struck Haiti , our Congressional delegation has traveled to Haiti to meet President Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Evans Paul, and other senior governmental officials," Pelosi said. "We look forward to hearing their views on the progress made with rebuilding, Haiti 's economic growth, Haitian immigration and other important issues."
In addition to Leader Pelosi, the Members of the delegation are:
